He is widely known for his bright palette in his collections called Axial Awareness, Simultaneous Universes and Parallel // Quantum Mankind.
It has been since 2004 that Abellán Juliá´s works are based on the concepts of the Quantum Physics Theory: “the essential particles, due to their existential imprecision, can behave like particles in a particular moment and like waves in the following or previous instant. They exist in a space and time where the present is not recognized. These particles jump from the past to the future and vice versa”
He develops universes with cellulose where he folds and draws “vibratory waves” called pro-collapses with pure mineral pigments. It is in those waves where his main theory and the axis of his work take form: “all the Universe is vibration”.
“Duality” is present in those created “universes”, a requirement which is demanded and inseparably linked within his work as “Axial Awareness”. The awareness and the unawareness play an opposing role, functioning as the contrast and the opposite harmony. These concepts will link up his final work to the glance of each new observer, the spectator.
The themes recreated are varied. They are generated in the abstraction, under structures designed for their evocation and structures that define their singular and outstanding aesthetic, the music, the nature and the geometry are combined in canvas, wood, polyester, walls of plaster, of cement, of board-rock…
For his three-dimensional works, he uses moulds of real human bodies in which he intervenes with his pro-collapses and latex or resin for the exhibition called Parallel// Quantum Humankind.
Abellán Juliá was born in 1961. He lives and works in Mexico and Spain.
